The novel, The Double Bind, would have been very different were it not for the remarkable images that photographer Bob Campbell left behind when he died. Some of them are in the novel.
It’s possible, however, that many of those images would have been lost forever had the Committee on Temporary Shelter (COTS) not found Campbell an apartment when he arrived, homeless, in Burlington, Vermont.
