Chris is coming to Charlottesville, VA for the Virginia Festival for the Book!

March 22 @ 10:00 am - 11:30 am

Enjoy breakfast with a generous side of history as Chris Bohjalian and Kimberly Brock explore stories of risk and deceit set against the backdrop of the American South. Bohjalian’s new novel, The Jackal’s Mistress is a harrowing Civil War-era tale of forbidden compassion, where Libby Steadman—wife of a missing Confederate soldier—must decide how far she’s willing to go when she discovers a wounded Union officer. Brock’s The Fabled Earth offers a lush Southern Gothic tale spanning two timelines: a 1932 Gilded Age hunting party on Georgia’s Cumberland Island, where a tragic event reverberates through history, and a 1959 reckoning for three women entangled in the haunting secrets. This annual festival favorite is not to be missed!
